Widely regarded as the first personal computer, the Altair 8800 went on sale on December 19, 1974. It used front-panel switches for input and LEDs for output, and did not have a keyboard, monitor or storage devices built in. Users had to write programs in machine language or assemble them from assembly language.
Considered one of the greatest movies all time, "Titanic" released on December 19, 1997. Featuring groundbreaking visual effects and computer-generated imagery, the film would go on to win 11 Academy Awards, including Best Visual Effects.
