Computer Visionary Alan Turing Was Born

Alan Turing was a British mathematician, logician, and computer scientist who is widely regarded as the father of modern computer science. He was born on June 23, 1912, in Maida Vale, London. Turing is perhaps best known for his work on breaking German codes during World War II. He played a crucial role in the Allied victory by developing a machine called the Bombe that was used to decode encrypted messages sent by the Germans. After the war, Turing continued to work on computer science and artificial intelligence. He developed the concept of a universal machine, which could perform any computation that could be carried out by a human being. Reddit Was Founded in Massachusetts
