Kwanzaa is observed annually from December 26th to January 1st, with each day representing one of the seven principles (Nguzo Saba) of Kwanzaa.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed a bill into law on December 26, 1941, officially establishing Thanksgiving as a federal holiday in the United States. While Thanksgiving had been celebrated in various forms since colonial times, this action standardized the observance of Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November each year.
