In the late 1990s, two computer science graduate students at Stanford University, Larry Page and Sergey Brin had a revolutionary idea: to create a search engine that would index the entire web and deliver more relevant results than any other search engine. They called their search engine "Google" and incorporated the company on September 4, 1998. From humble beginnings, Google quickly became the most popular search engine in the world and has since expanded into a vast technology company, offering a wide range of products and services that have changed the way we live, work, and communicate.
On September 4th 1882, in Manhattan, New York. The "Pearl Street Station," the first power plant in the United States, began generating electricity and ushered in a new era of electrical power distribution. This small power station, designed by Thomas Edison and his team, was capable of providing electricity to a few blocks in lower Manhattan, but it quickly became a model for larger power plants across the country. The Pearl Street Station changed the way people lived, worked and communicated, and transformed the landscape of America forever.
On September 4, 2018, Amazon became the second company in history to achieve a market valuation of $1 trillion, following in the footsteps of Apple. The company's rapid growth and dominance in the e-commerce and cloud computing industries propelled its stock price to record highs, resulting in a milestone that few thought possible just a few years prior. Amazon's founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos, became one of the richest people in the world and cemented his status as a tech industry titan.
