Russian forces invade Ukraine. As we speak, they march into Kyiv. Should the west aid Ukraine militarily? Let's discuss.

Jack Boreham It's a very stressful situation. Putin can't back down now. It's dangerous for him to do so. But the Ukrainian president is also meeting his forces with all he got. And even though other nations aren't getting directly involved in the conflict, at least they're trying to support Ukraine with supplies.
Mónica Freitas true. Russia should have conquered more than they have by now. It's becoming costly for them. When people get frustrated with progress, they make bad decisions. Putin could fall into this camp soon. Which could be very bad.
Jack Boreham, Putin wasn't expecting such a strong stance from Ukraine. Now, his only card to win the war quickly is betting or threatening using nuclear weapons. In my opinion, this will only end if one of the leaders dies and one of the nations falls into chaos, with no command. Otherwise, either we will see some nuclear attacks in action or a change in strategy.
Mónica Freitas Interesting, so you don't think economic pressure may force them out. Do you think Putin is that mad?
Jack Boreham I think his pride is bigger than that. He hasn't stopped with the economic cuts he's facing already
My guess is that he's all in. Even if he has to use up to the last Russian weapon and soldier. Retracting will send a message of weakness which can get him killed. But I do hope I'm wrong
Mónica Freitas, so you think he's got no rationality left. Basically, if he had it his way, he would conquer Europe?
Jack Boreham, he's rational but clearly deranged too. It's all down to the nuclear power he has. No one wants a full-out nuclear war. So, will we let him get away with what he wants to prevent a nuclear war? What do you think?
Jack Boreham, I think the west should aid Ukraine. They are being attacked by a huge force that Russia is. However, it's not that simple since Ukraine is not in NATO or the EU. Helping directly can cause an even bigger conflict. I'm trying to be more hopeful when it comes to the resolution of this war. I'm hoping the negotiations can bring peace, especially since as Mónica Freitas said, they were expecting such resistance from Ukraine
Mónica Freitas, so he's taking advantage of the situation. I personally think this conflict could oust him
Sara Pinto a diplomatic solution is always best. Unfortunately, I think it is the least likely option. Russia will look weak in this scenario. I do think however these sanctions might force Russia.
