Express is a JavaScript framework that serves as the backend for a lot of full stack web applications. Today, we’re going to recreate some of the routing functionality to gain a better understanding of the the context in which the framework operates as well as how response and request can be handled. If you’d like to see the final source code, you can find it on Github here. Let’s start out by emulating Express’ “Hello World” application but pulling in our own module.
