Too Long; Didn't Read

The Wolfenstein games feature numerous timelines across their various iterations. The classic timeline starts with Wolfenstein 3D's expansion packs and standalone releases, such as Spear of Destiny and Nocturnal Mission, with Wolfenstein 3D itself taking place at the end. Return to Castle Wolfenstein takes place in a new timeline, with Wolfenstein (2009) building off of it - though it was developed as a soft reboot itself. The latest Wolfenstein games follow a timeline through The Old Blood, The New Order, The New Colossus, Cyberpilot, and Youngblood, in that order. The sales of each game rank as such: 8. Cyberpilot 7. Wolfenstein (2009) 6. Wolfenstein 3D (and its expansions/ports) 5. The Old Blood 4. The New Colossus 3. Return to Castle Wolfenstein 2. Youngblood 1. The New Order Though the Wolfenstein series went through many iterations, the new timeline gave fans a unique experience not seen before. It will be interesting to see if the Wolfenstein franchise is rebooted yet again, or if the standard set by The New Order will last for a lifetime.
