So let’s start! Tell us a bit about yourself. For example, name, profession, and personal interests.

With a career spanning over five dynamic years in the field of media and marketing, I have navigated a steady trajectory of managerial and strategic roles, shaping my professional journey into what it is today. As I stand at the intersection of these two ever-evolving fields, I am thrilled to introduce myself as a Tech Journalist at HackerNoon and the Social Media Lead at Business Insider Africa.

Over the years, I have cultivated a profound passion for technology and enterprise, and this fervor now propels me to craft stories that resonate with people across the digital landscape.

Interesting! What was your latest Hackernoon Top story about?

In my most recent article on HackerNoon, I delved into a pressing issue that has been making headlines in the tech world – Microsoft’s lawsuit with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over its acquisition of Activision.

This high-stakes legal battle has captured the attention of industry insiders and tech enthusiasts alike, and for good reason.

The crux of the story revolves around the FTC's strong conviction that Microsoft's acquisition of Activision would be detrimental, and my article explores the compelling reasons behind this assertion. To build a comprehensive case, I drew upon Microsoft's extensive acquisition history and meticulously examined the company's past interactions with the entities it has absorbed.

What emerges from this investigative dive is a thought-provoking narrative that sheds light on the FTC's concerns. By presenting the facts and drawing connections to Microsoft's historical actions with acquired companies, my article paints a vivid picture of why this acquisition is viewed as a potential "bad deal" by the regulatory body.

This story, grounded in facts and careful analysis, offers readers an insightful perspective on a pivotal moment in the tech industry. It is a testament to my commitment as a Tech Journalist to provide you with in-depth, well-researched, and engaging content that not only informs but also sparks meaningful discussions.

Do you usually write on similar topics? If not, what do you usually write about?

Absolutely, I specialize in tech journalism, and my writing encompasses various aspects of the tech world. I explore the people behind tech innovations, the users who embrace them, and the intricate ways in which these elements converge to shape our ever-evolving world.

My primary focus centers on emerging and future technologies, investigating their profound impact on individuals, businesses, and nations. I'm passionate about uncovering how these innovations are transforming industries and societies, providing readers with a glimpse into the exciting possibilities they bring.

Ethical considerations in technology are another crucial area of interest for me. I believe it's essential to scrutinize the ethical dimensions of our daily inventions and the practices of those responsible for creating them. This critical examination helps us navigate the ethical challenges that arise in our tech-driven world.

Furthermore, I delve into the dynamic intersection of marketing and technology, commonly referred to as Marketing Technology or MarTech. By exploring this fascinating fusion of disciplines, I offer valuable insights to individuals and businesses seeking to navigate and harness the potential of these converging fields. Media Technology is another domain I explore, shedding light on the evolving landscape of media in the digital age.

Through my writing, I aim to provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted world of technology and its profound impact on our lives. My goal is to empower individuals and businesses with knowledge and insights that enable them to make informed decisions in this ever-changing landscape.

Great! What is your usual writing routine like (if you have one?)

In my writing journey, I'm on a constant quest to discover the most effective approaches that work best for me. I've observed that my productivity soars when I can set aside dedicated blocks of time to immerse myself in my work. However, I've also learned the importance of being adaptable and flexible in response to the ever-changing circumstances that life often presents.

I maintain a perpetual curiosity for novel techniques and strategies to optimize my writing process and enhance my overall productivity. It's a continuous journey of self-improvement and refinement, where I eagerly explore new methods and tools to fine-tune my craft.

Writing is an integral part of my life, and it's something I engage in almost incessantly, irrespective of location or time. When I put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard, I find myself naturally gravitating toward topics that revolve around the transformative forces shaping our world.

Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. It’s not often our main role, but an addition to another one. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing?

The primary challenge I face as a tech writer is the ebb and flow of ideas.

Balancing my writing responsibilities with other roles can be demanding, but I prioritize tasks and make the most of my available time. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial as my schedule can unpredictably shift.

What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?

My sole aspiration whenever I work is to effect real change through my efforts.

Wow, that’s admirable. Now, something more casual: What is your guilty pleasure of choice?

I can't think of any particular one at the moment, but I suppose watching a lot of documentaries could be considered one of my pastimes.

Cooking. I love to make my meals.

What can the Hacker Noon community expect to read from you next?

Prepare for a groovy journey, folks! 😎

What to expect is a deeper dive into what I already do-covering tech stories. But a rather investigative approach to it.

What’s your opinion on HackerNoon as a platform for writers?

Of all the platforms I have tried, Hackernoon is the best. I Love it, and I am glad I am a part of it.

Thanks for taking the time to join our “Meet the Writer” series. It was a pleasure. Do you have any closing words?

Francis Bacon's quote, "The job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery," encapsulates the very essence of being a writer. Our role is to venture into the uncharted territories of knowledge and present fresh insights and viewpoints to the world through our craft.

I am genuinely thankful for the chance to share my writer's journey with the HackerNoon audience.

My hope is to persist in crafting meaningful pieces that continue to unravel mysteries for years to come. Once again, I extend my gratitude for the privilege of participating in the "Meet the Writer" series.
