They were relatively cheap, lightweight, and sweat-resistant. That might not matter to most of you, but I sweat uncontrollably during VR. Sweat-resistance with in the earphones is a huge draw for me. There is a short wire that connects the two earphones together, but it is small and rests on the back of your neck, and is barely noticeable. When I tested these, at least during my playthroughs, I didn’t have any latency with Skyrim VR. However, for some reason during Skyrim VR . I don’t know what caused this. It didn’t happen all the time, but it happened twice in about an hour of play, so I thought that was important to point out. sometimes the audio would cut out randomly If you play rhythm games, audio cutting out randomly might be a dealbreaker for you. However, for sports games, these are your best bet from the headphones on this list. Also, compared to over-the-ear headphones, the quality of audio is obviously lower. These are budget headphones made to be used during physical activities. They are great for boxing games, but if you want crisp, clear, immersive audio, nothing beats over-the-ear headphones. Absolutely no latency Results: Comfortable, best audio quality Pros: Bulkiest option on this list Cons: Testing the Treblab X3 Pro These budget earbuds cost just $55 USD (as of the writing of this article), but don’t be fooled by that price. The audio quality of these earbuds can compete with every other pair on this list. The Treblab X3 Pros are easy to set up and connect quickly. I tried them with the native Bluetooth pairing ability of the Quest 2 and had the same problem as all the others: major latency of around 0.5 to 0.6 seconds. However, when I tried my method outlined above there was virtually no latency using these earbuds as well. I played about 1 hour of Pavlov with these things on and didn’t notice any latency at all. Some other benefits of these are the rapid charging time, ear hook design, and water resistance. I wanted to try these, especially for more active sessions of VR where you may be moving around a lot and are sweating up a storm. These were perfect for active games and exercise games, as I didn’t have to worry about getting them wet or about them falling out of my ears if I jerked my head quickly.
