The Data Scientist Creativity Paradox: The more imaginative you are, the less significant will be your observations. The solution is to apply the scientific method: Ask a question, construct a hypothesis, test with an experiment and draw conclusions. The more creative you are the less likely to find something in common with a set of cards, the more likely to discover something in random noise. When we see a pattern in data, we underestimate all the other patterns that would have surprised us the same way.
