A Plague Tale: Requiem was one of the reveals at E3 2021 during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. Now, Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive have confirmed that the first game in the series, A Plague Tale: Innocence is receiving a special enhanced edition for next-generation consoles. The new enhanced version of A Plague Tale: Innocence arrives next month.
The new enhanced version of A Plague Tale will feature 4K Ultra-High-Definition graphics on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. It will also feature 60 FPS and 3D audio support.
Besides the PS5 and Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch gamers will also have the chance to experience Innocence via Cloud Streaming. For now, it seems Innocence will only be available as a cloud-based title, and players will be able to play the game digitally using cloud-streaming tech.
Originally released in May 2019, A Plague Tale: Innocence is set in a grim medieval France setting. Players control Amicia de Rune in the third-person action-adventure, survival horror, and stealth-based game. It looks like the game has been beautifully enhanced and remastered for the current console generation.
The enhanced version of A Plague Tale: Innocence hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch via Cloud Streaming on July 6. You can check out a new trailer for the enhanced edition below:
