Too Long; Didn't Read

NFTCars is a company that is using NFTs to represent ownership of high-pollution vehicles. These vehicles will be purchased from public car sales websites, removed from government registries, and scrapped in a way that non parts will be reused. NFT cars can be easily bought and sold online, making them more accessible to a wider audience of collectors.

Transportation is a major contributor to carbon emissions, which contribute to climate change and have negative impacts on the environment and human health. According to the International Energy Agency, the transportation sector accounted for about 23% of energy-related CO2 emissions in 2019. One way to reduce carbon emissions is by digitalizing high-pollution cars. That’s what we do in NFTCars.

What are NFTCar NFTs?

Our solution at NFTCars is to reduce the global carbon footprint by converting high-pollution cars into carbon credits through the use of NFTs. This is achieved by purchasing a high-pollution car, scrapping it in such a way that none of its parts can be reused, and generating an NFT for the car. This NFT represents the reduction of the car's carbon footprint and can be used as a carbon credit.

How do we calculate CO2 removed by cars we have scrapped?

The carbon footprint of a car is calculated by determining the amount of CO2 a car will emit over the next ten years. This is done by taking into account the car's age, mileage, and average fuel consumption. The average CO2 emission per liter of fuel burned is 2.3 kg/CO2. By determining the future emissions of the car, a certain number of NFTs can be assigned to it. Each NFT represents the removal of 1.25 tons of CO2.

Why NFT technology?

One advantage of NFT cars is their ability to be easily transported, verified, stored and traded digitally. This makes them attractive for collectors who may not have the space or resources to store and maintain physical vehicles. In addition, NFT cars can be easily bought and sold online, making them more accessible to a wider audience of collectors.

With NFTCars, everybody can verify which car has been removed, car mileage, fuel consumption, and removed future carbon emissions emitted. With use of NFTs everybody can verify their carbon footprint reduction.

Carbon Footprint Calculator.

NFTCar.io offers a comprehensive carbon calculator for measuring and offsetting an individual or organization's carbon footprint. The calculator includes options for calculating emissions from flights, driving, and buildings.

Ultimate Carbon Calculator

The calculator calculates your total emissions released from driving, traveling, or real estate you own and then converts emissions to the NFTs with a conversion rate of 1 NFT equals 1.25 tons of CO2 reduced.

How does Ultimate Footprint Calculator calculate emissions?

The car footprint calculator is based on the user's driving mileage and the fuel consumption per 100 km of the car. The emissions produced by the car are converted into NFTs, so users can see how many NFTs they need to buy to offset their emissions to 0.

The flight carbon footprint calculator allows users to determine the emissions produced by a flight, in terms of CO2, over an air mileage. It uses 90 grams of carbon emitted per passenger per flight- This information is used to compare the emissions of scrapped cars and calculate how many NFTs are needed to offset the emissions to 0.

The carbon footprint of a building can be calculated by taking into account various elements, such as the thickness of the concrete floor, walls, and sealings. Typically, a building with a 20-30 cm concrete floor will have a certain level of emissions, but when other elements like walls, sealings, etc. are taken into account, the emissions produced may balance out to a 40cm floor thickness. This makes it easier to calculate and understand the carbon footprint of a building. To build a 1 m2 of building, the carbon emitted is 1 ton/CO2.

The real estate carbon footprint calculator allows users to determine the emissions produced by a building, in terms of carbon dioxide (CO2), based on the building's size. The emissions produced by the building are compared with the emissions of scrapped cars, and the number of NFTs needed to offset the emissions to 0 is calculated.
