My current focus while playing with the 6 million articles from medium that I scrapped in the winter is on programming languages.
Last time I posted the TOP 100 articles tagged Python.
TOP 100 Python articles on medium (until Jan 2017)_Until Jan 2017, there were 553 articles tagged Python on medium.com, written by 367 medium users. Total reading time…_medium.com
In this post, we will look at the TOP 200 articles related with JavaScript.
Time required to read all of the 5200+ articles ? Over 15 days, non stop.
Time to read just the top 200 articles ? 1 Day
The median reading time of a article tagged JavaScript on medium is 3.2 minutes, with a upper hinge of 5 minutes, and a upper whisker of 10 minutes, and a lower hinge of 2 minutes. The median number of recommends is 4, with a upper hinge of 20, and a upper whisker of 49 recommends.
The answer.
38 posts got over 1000 recommends on medium.
Let`s see the data in another way, and find out how many of the total posts per each category, got over 100 recommends., based on how many images each post had.
We can see, that if you don`t put any images, you have a frequency of 1 in every 44 posts to get over 100 recommends.
1 image, and you already have a 1 in every 16 posts frequency to get over 100 recommends.
2 images into the post, and the frequency is down to 1 in 8 posts, so every 8th post have over 100 recommends.
For posts containing between 6 and 9 images in a post tagged JavaScript on medium, one in every 5 to 7th post will have over 100 recommends.

Last year i have been to the USA for 3 months, in City of San Francisco, learning entrepreneurship at Draper University.
I started scrapping medium.com with the aim of getting myself noticed as a Data Scientist, so that i can get employed / join a startup as a Data Scientist / Growth Hacker.
I returned in Romania in January, with the plan to find a opportunity to return to the states until December 2017. And then, the Romanian government fucked my plan.
In February, the government of Romania wanted to legalize corruption and bribes. Via a FB page that i founded 2 years ago, Corruption Kills, I dedicated my time facilitating the organization of the biggest protests in the history of Romania ( around 600k persons participated) ( we used Slack a lot ) and also did some civic projects, and for the last 6 months I did not had time until now to play with the data that i got from Medium.
