Too Long; Didn't Read

When I wrote article name I pasted in a URL and was much later surprised to see the box and picture and all that distraction in it. I was just expecting to have a clickable link.

The specific lesson and the more general one

When I wrote article name I pasted in a URL and was much later surprised to see the box and picture and all that distraction in it. I was just expecting to have a clickable link.

What I wanted can be achieved by putting in text and adding a link to it. I didn’t understand the difference.

That is a useful small lesson. I’ve learned it.

Had I looked at the article after it published I wouldn’t have been surprised a week had passed and various readers had already seen it ugliness.

So the bigger lesson is that I should have looked at the actual publication form right after its was published. There is a bigger lesson about checking my work. It’s an important lesson. I don’t think that I have learned it but I trust I will keep getting opportunities to do.

This tips is part of a sequence.
