I’ve been nominated in the following categories, please do check out these award pages and vote: HackerNoon Contributor of the Year - React: [URL TO AWARD PAGE] HackerNoon Contributor of the Year - typescript: [URL TO AWARD PAGE] As someone in the IT industry, I believe that the most exciting technology of the present is React & Typescript because, well, you know the good old javascript. No types, no type guards, a lot of going back and forth to the browser console & back to the code editor, and to do SPA’s, we needed to make a call to AJAX and a lot of hacks. Learn more about my thoughts and opinions on React, Typescript, and my journey in the tech industry via the interview below. 1. What do you do and why do you do it? (tell us your story) At the moment at the job, I’m a Front-End Developer (React + Typescript), but on my personal projects, I’m building full-stack projects. When I was very young (5-6 years), I was fascinated by technology. So, a few years ago (~6 years) I found out about this path, programming. First 3 years, I was hiding from JS, but in 2019, I realized I had no chance to avoid it anymore. It’s my favorite language now. 2. Tell us more about the things you create / write / manage / build! I devote myself 200% to every project because, you know, something I create, I give it “life”. About writing, to be honest, I’m focusing so much on build & learning new things I don’t really focus more on writing posts, but maybe I should. 3. How did you end up on your current career path? Do you like it? Until 16 years old, I was just staying and playing on PC (league of legends mostly), but I realized I had to do something great, something big. So, in the night, I was staying on my phone, and I googled about programming (at that moment, I was a bad google searcher, today I think I can add this as a skill). I tried to find all of the IT paths (design, programming, etc…). At first, I started with Java, but.. at that time, it was pretty difficult to understand all of the concepts (Encapsulation, inheritance, how classes work, etc). So, I quit Java and start PHP, but at some point, it was the same with Java. Finally I found the development. My theory was: FRONT-END It’s more easy to learn programing as a junior if you can visualize things. 4. What tech are you most excited or passionate about right now and why? Well, it is Javascript obviously. Mostly because you can do literally everything you want. Front-end? Sure, Back-end? Why not? Desktop, mobile, smartwatch applications? Of course, you can and the list can continue. Also, I’m super interested in GoLang. I think Javascript on Front-End and GoLang on BE should be a good tech stack. 5. What tech are you most worried about right now and why? I don’t think I’m worried about something particularly. This niche is evolving super fast anyway and you have to be always up-to-date. 6. If we gave you 10 million dollars to invest in something today, what would you invest in and why? Some of the money I’ll invest in actions (like Amazon, Apple, Google, Tesla, etc). And the rest of them I’ll invest in a product meant for the production. 7. What are you currently learning? At this moment, I’m getting better at Apollo, GraphQL, TypeORM, and PostgreSQL. 8. What’s the best advice you’ve ever given someone? It’s doesn’t matter how hard it is. You can do this. You have to believe in yourself. Maybe the results will not come today, tomorrow, or maybe for the next 2 years. But someday, they’ll come. 9. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Stop overthinking. Just do it!
