Elon Musk, business genius, has tragically misread the room. For one, this will not lead to a meaningful number of new Twitter Blue subscribers who aim for a higher limit. It will not improve engagement or the all-important minutes spent on platform KPI. And it severely handicaps Linda Yaccarino’s efforts to save the Twitter ad business.
