The Fastest Way from Idea to Presentation.
Welcome to this first post on my new blog where I plan to share news, ideas, and tips for GitPitch users along with highlighting some of the amazing presentations created by the GitPitch community.
If you have ever worked with Git - on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket - you are probably already familiar with the **README.md**
convention. GitPitch introduces a new convention for Git users, the**PITCHME.md**
convention.
GitPitch turns a**PITCHME.md**
markdown file found in any Git repository into modern, responsive online or offline slideshow presentations. You can use your slide decks to promote, pitch or present absolutely anything.
To see an introduction to GitPitch via a live GitPitch presentation in your browser, click on the following image:

It couldn’t be easier. To get started, there is no sign-up. And there is absolutely nothing to install. You simply use your favorite text editor and write your presentation content in Markdown. Then git-push to any repository on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
To get even more out of GitPitch, learn about these amazing pro features.
If you have a GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket account then you are good to go.
To give you some idea what GitPitch can do with your simple Markdown content click on any of the following presentation screenshots to see what members of the GitPitch community have already created:
Hopefully by now you are excited by GitPitch and recognize that it can help you to craft and share beautiful content about things you care about.
For a high-level tour of slide deck features available to all GitPitch presentation authors, see the GitPitch features page here.
And if you want to jump straight in, I recommend starting with this very short tutorial, GitPitch In-60-Second. You can find that here.
GitPitch began as an open source project. It’s something I created having spent over 20 years working as a developer and IT consultant. During this time I often needed to present technical knowledge, including designs, frameworks, APIs, and diverse technologies to wide ranging audiences.
And I often wished there was some truly simple yet effective way to deliver that content, using the tools I already know and love — Markdown and Git.
Now there is, it’s called GitPitch :). I hope you enjoy using it as much as I did creating it.
Before I wrap up, I do have a small favor to ask. If you enjoyed this post today, please show your appreciation by clapping 👏 for this article.
