I’m an IT manager in a sizable organization with responsibilities that results in receiving at least 200–300 emails daily. Yes, it is a drag. Some of the emails have important information which I need to act on quickly, some are things I need to scan, and some are just plain rubbish. My days used to be consumed with managing emails that pretty much became my full time job. I used to spend 4–5 hours a day on email (after a full day of meetings), but with the below techniques, now it is more often than not about 2–3 hours.
