Many of today’s web applications use node.js in conjunction with MongoDB to store and access data on the backend server. MongoDB is an open source non-relational database that stores the data in the form of collections and documents. Node.js is a JavaScript runtime environment for the back-end of your application. We’ll be installing MongoDB on your local machine, but for production purposes, you might want to use the MongoDB Atlas cloud database service.
