The studio persevered in the face of a lukewarm response, but the game became an overnight success. Angry Birds netted them $12 billion in revenue in 2012 and over 3 billion in total in total downloads in 2012. The franchise has branched out into multi-million dollar brandings, TV series, and even blockbuster movies.
