ChatGPD is one of the most common misspellings of the viral language model developed by Open AI. The correct term is ChatGPT, and to learn more about I talked to ChatGPT itself.

I asked ChatGPT the following question: "Is it chatgpd or chatgpt?"

This was the AI's response:

"GPT" stands for "Generative Pre-trained Transformer." It is a type of language model developed by OpenAI. GPT models are trained on a massive amount of text data, and they can generate human-like text when provided with a prompt. GPT-3 is the latest and most advanced version of this model. It can generate text that is difficult to distinguish from text written by a human, and it has been used for a wide range of natural language processing tasks, such as language translation, summarization, and question answering.

GPT-2, GPT-3 and similar chatgpt or chatgpd (if i consider this as a typo) are all part of the GPT series of models created by OpenAI for language generation tasks. They are trained on a massive amount of text data and can generate text that is difficult to distinguish from text written by a human.

The truth is GPT is not new. It's been around for a couple years, but has just become viral because of the easy UX provided by ChatGPT. It's easy for journalists to test and it's blowing the minds of people who have never tried GPT before.

In fact, there are articles about GPT on HackerNoon from 2 years ago:
