George Guimarães: Becoming a manager is usually one of the biggest challenges of an engineer's career. He says the manager’s skills pack has two different tasks: to manage and to lead. He wants to talk about hard skills for having visibility and predictability over the team's work. The most relevant job for managers (in the point of view of management) is to create a proper cockpit. It must communicate the metrics of process and provide data to point variations and state of every single step of process.
