This is called . You get the idea. home-automation ‘How can I get started?’ Either way if you have no prior experience or have great experience, I certianly do recommend purchacing a /proccessor. These are little circuit/computer-like boards which fit into the palm of your hand. As an extra, they only cost around $30 or so. multi-controller Which one should you get? I highly recommend the and Uno. These two are the two most popular boards that are easy to use and quick to learn. Raspberry Pi Arduino ‘Which one should I get?’ There are continuous world-wide discussions on which of these two are better. You can’t really tell which one is better using this quote. But if you were to say “Which one is better… for my project” then that gets you somewhere. If you want to control sensors, motors and lcd boards, then the Arduino is best suited for you. This is good for motion detected lights and a simple weather station using a temperature sensor module. On the other hand if you want to controll video cameras, complex math operations and graphic interfaces, then the Raspberry Pi is more suited. This is good for security cameras and a handy, digital calendar. One extra thing to put out there, the Raspberry Pi runs on an OS which means that you can use it as a computer that runs on a Linux-based platform. The Arduino on the other hand doesn’t run on an OS. ‘How do I get started with becoming a ‘good’ hacker? Theres an endless variety of sources on the internet waiting to be clicked on. I do recommend getting started with as it has an endless load of insturctions and tutorials on how to build awesome projects. There’s a good community there as well.
