Today, while using a Ledger Nano S — I was shocked to see this scary message after I left my ledger nano s for few minutes while a transaction was confirming. The message was scrolling horizontally saying “**_Vires in Numeris_**”\n\nIf the Auto-Lock feature is activated, your Nano S will enter into stand-by mode after a delay you can choose (1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes). Then, each time your Nano S will be connected and not used during this selected delay, it will run stand-by mode. When you want to use again your device, you will have to press both buttons and re-enter your PIN code.\n\n1. Open the “Settings” of the Nano S\n2. Select “Security”\n3. Select “Auto-lock”\n\n!(https://hackernoon.com/hn-images/0*MUawmxgw5E7Vc7nj.)\n\nScroll to choose your favorite delay and press both buttons to validate or select OFF if you do not want to set this mode\n\n!(https://hackernoon.com/hn-images/0*gQmhjrTzpMIV56T2.)\n\n_If this article has helped you feel relieved, Give some claps and share it across._\n\n_Follow me on_ [_medium_](http://medium.com/@vvkr) _and_ [_twitter_](http://twitter.com/confusedcoin) _for more informational articles about Cryptocurrency, Blockchain and UI/UX for web/mobile products_\n\n> Disclosure: This article is based on information provided on [Ledger Nano FAQs](https://ledger.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005165589--Vires-in-numeris-message) and few reddit posts.
