Too Long; Didn't Read

Apple has announced the division of its share price by four shares. It will be achieved by giving three additional shares to each investor. The first split for the company took place on June 16, 1987, and the second split was on June 21, 2000. Microsoft has had 9 stock splits throughout its history. The split will also affect the Dow Jones industrial average, of which Apple is a member. Once the split takes place, Apple will make up only 2.5% of the DJI, which Apple currently accounts for over 10% of.
