Our mission is to become the premier trading venue for NFT enthusiasts as well as to innovate and push forward the boundaries of decentralized value exchange. My Role I’m the founder and CEO of Sniper.xyz, Max Zhuang. I built this with some of my closest friends from work and school out of my apartment in December of 2021. Since then we've raised about $4.5M and have grown Sniper into an industry leader in NFT trading. How We're Disrupting/Improving the NFT Industry Sniper is disrupting the NFT industry by making it easier and more efficient to trade NFTs. We started with a simple trading tool that charted the price history of NFTs and we have since expanded our platform to not only be the best marketplace and aggregator but also introduced orderbook-style trading where users can get their buy and sell orders automatically matched and executed. Our goal is to make NFT trading as easy and efficient as trading stocks or crypto. We believe that NFTs have the potential to be the largest asset class of this century, and we are committed to building the infrastructure that will make that happen. Standing Out from The Crowd Our space has several huge competitors and we’re often cited to be “better” than two Unicorn-startups: OpenSea and MagicEden. The key innovation that powers Sniper Market is the first orderbook for NFTs or "Floorderbook." We've designed this new protocol from first principles taking inspiration from the traditional central limit orderbook (CLOB) model. CLOB is a transparent system of buy and sell orders that are automatically matched and executed based on price and time priority ordering. For traders, this introduces more powerful automation to execute your trading strategies better, faster, and smarter. Our Predictions/Thoughts on the NFT Industry in 2023 We believe that the NFT industry will continue to grow rapidly going into 2024. More and more people are becoming interested in NFTs, and there is a growing demand for NFT marketplaces that are easy to use and efficient. We are confident that Sniper.xyz will continue to be the leading NFT marketplace in 2024 and beyond. What word defines the state of NFT in 2023? The word that best defines the state of NFTs in 2023 is “maturation”. After the hype and speculation of 2021, the NFT market has cooled down considerably in 2023. This is due to a number of factors, including the overall decline in the cryptocurrency market, the exposure of scams and rug pulls, and the growing realization that NFTs are not a get-rich-quick scheme. However, despite these challenges, the NFT market is still growing and maturing. More and more people are learning about NFTs and their potential applications. New and innovative NFT projects are being launched all the time. And major brands and companies are starting to embrace NFTs in new and exciting ways. Why we decided to participate in HackerNoon's Startup of the Year awards We decided to participate in HackerNoon's Startup of the Year awards because we believe that it is a great opportunity to showcase our company and our mission to the broader tech community. We are also excited to compete with other startups in Los Angeles and to learn from them. Final Thoughts We were trading NFTs on Solana when we realized that the value of these assets and the speed at which they could be traded meant NFTs could be the largest asset class of this century. When this project started nearly two years ago, the existing infrastructure felt more like an eBay auction than trading stocks or crypto. Traders used to ask one another what the previous day or hourly price of a collection was and thus Sol Sniper was born as a trading tool that would chart the price history of NFTs. Today, Sniper has evolved (and is continuing to evolve) beyond these humble beginnings. Our mission is to become the premier trading venue for NFT enthusiasts as well as to innovate and push forward the boundaries of decentralized value exchange. Vote for us today!
