Like, see, the entire blockchain world which are the Bitcoin, Ethereum, and all that random meme coin you bought on a whim is built on cryptography. And believe me, a quantum computer can shred it. The worst part is that we might not even notice it happening until our wallets are drained, until our DAOs gets compromised, and Web3 basically becomes a ghost town. We know blockchain’s whole vibe which is trustless, secure, and decentralized, leans hard on cryptography. Public-key stuff, specifically. It is like the skeleton holding up the wallets, transactions, even the smart contracts. And without it, everything is all just code floating in the void, waiting to get jacked. And most blockchains use these algorithms: ECDSA (fancy math behind Bitcoin and Ethereum signatures).
