1- Users of Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.1 can easily protect themselves against the main route of infection by running Windows Update on their systems. 2- Make multiple, and frequent backups (to cloud services and using physical disk drives.) 3- Microsoft recommends running its free anti-virus software for Windows. 4- Follow basic security protocol. don’t click on questionable links or open suspicious attachments. 5- Never download an app that hasn’t been verified by an official store.
