<em>We made the following submission to the British Government’s</em> <strong><em>“</em></strong><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/digital-currencies-call-for-information/digital-currencies-call-for-information" target="_blank"><strong><em>Digital currencies: Call for Information</em></strong></a><strong><em>”</em></strong><em>. There is at least one Parliamentarian that understands Bitcoin. </em><a href="http://www.stevebaker.info/" target="_blank">Steve Baker</a>,<em> who was recently elected to a seat on the Treasury Select Committee, says that Bitcoin should be regulated just as any other product or service is, via existing laws, and </em><a href="http://www.coindesk.com/uk-treasury-committee-mp-bitcoin-doesnt-need-new-laws/" target="_blank"><em>no new laws are required for it</em></a><em>. If the sane voices in Parliament hold sway, it bodes well for Britain.</em>
