Since the start of the pandemic, 66% of children are spending time on screens - 60% spend more than 3 hours with screens. More than half think that their children may have gotten addicted to screens by the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Too much screen time for small children and teens can leave a lasting impact. Children between the ages of 2 to 6 who use screens frequently have been shown to be more likely to develop emotional problems and suffer from family dysfunction. Teens and young adults who regularly spend long stretches of time on social media display higher rates of depression and suicide.
