Meet IONOS : #FunFact

IONOS was founded in 1988 as 1&1 building its own data center architecture and extensive network from scratch. In 2018, 1&1 combined its web hosting, applications, and server product lines with ProfitBricks’ cloud infrastructure solutions, becoming 1&1 IONOS. In 2020, they rebranded again as IONOS - a digital partner for web hosting and cloud partner for small and medium-sized businesses.

"We very much see ourselves as an alternative for big tech, especially for mid-size businesses. Some examples are fairer pricing, designing SLA based on client requirements and a commitment to using and offering open-source technologies (eg. Nextcloud, MariaDB, Alma Linux, Kernel development). We play an active role in sponsoring and co-developing open-source CMS like Typo3, Joomla." - Simon Morgan, Marketing Manager, IONOS in an AMA with HackerNoon.
