Last-Mile Delivery: What Industry Leaders Look for in Startup Partners is what they look for. Collaboration between delivery industry giants and innovative logistics and transportation technology startups is taking place. The convergence of several key trends serves as the impetus for the collaborations. The rise of e-commerce, which the WEF predicted will grow at an annual rate of 17%, will also boost parcel volume and, consequently, that of that of last-mile deliveries. Same-day and “instant” deliveries are growing “36% and 17% annually,” according to a report published by WEF in January this year.
