Will tech be part of the future of art?

"The exhibition, 'Crazy: Madness in Contemporary Art', has taken over the indoor and outdoor spaces of the Choistro del Bramante building, to display contemporary works in which visitors can immerse themselves."

"The artists were tasked to create works of different types following a single rule: make them immersive."

Limarc Ambalina Mónica Freitas Jack Boreham Abeer have you ever been to an immersive exhibition? Do you think tech will have a big role in the future of art and culture?

Jack BorehamFeb 24, 2022, 5:00 PM

Sara Pinto, without a doubt! We are already seeing it with NFTs and VR. For better or worse art will change dramatically with tech

Mónica FreitasFeb 24, 2022, 6:03 PM

Sara Pinto, I've never been to an immersive art exhibition, but I've always been curious about it. I think it gives art a different dimension - something you can fully appreciate and that can engage with your other senses.

Jack Boreham, this future where art and tech merge gets me very excited. I can't even think of all the cool things that will be able to do. Have you ever been to an immersive exhibition? Or any other kind of tech and art combined

Sara PintoFeb 28, 2022, 12:12 PM

Mónica Freitas, I thought the same! I think it opens many possibilities of how you can enjoy art. In what other ways do you think we will see art and tech merge?

Jack BorehamMar 1, 2022, 8:55 AM

Sara Pinto, I haven't, but I've been to an NFT style exhibition in the British Museum. That was interesting!

Sara PintoMar 1, 2022, 9:43 PM

Jack Boreham really? How does that work?

Jack BorehamMar 2, 2022, 1:08 PM

Mónica Freitas it was literally just a barcode...saying scan here to view the NFT

Jack BorehamMar 2, 2022, 1:08 PM

HAHAH

Mónica FreitasMar 2, 2022, 3:39 PM

Sara Pinto, I think we'll have more spaces to experience art immersively. NFTs are also a mashup between art and tech. So is modern music, partially. AI-Generated art and blockchain art are also starting, which is cool.

Sara PintoMar 4, 2022, 11:36 AM

Jack Boreham, well, that's a different way for sure haha. But I'm guessing it must be entertaining as well

Mónica Freitas I believe we are looking up to a pretty awesome future :grinning_face_with_star_eyes:

Sara Pinto I haven’t been to an immersive exhibit but I’ve heard great things from friends about the Van Gogh and ZeroSpace exhibits here in NY. I can definitely see tech playing a huge role in art and culture. It already plays a huge role with digital art and animation getting so popular and accessible. On the culture side, there are apps like Artsy that make purchasing art pieces more accessible as well.

Abeer, I haven't been to one as well, but I'm eager to try one out. I had no idea about apps like that! It makes it so reachable
