OpenTelemetry is a system that generates logs, metrics, and traces in an integrated fashion. An observable application collects three types of information for every transaction: Logs, Metrics, Traces, and Database Dependencies. We’ll explore how we might use this to identify the components that share the same database and database objects, such as tables, to identify what is shared and what is not. Microservices can help any organization achieve its goal of increasing agility by addressing critical factors such as improving team autonomy, scaling for load, and avoiding complete outages.
