How to figure out whether when & whether you should you give up

I grew up with winners never quit; quitters never win.

I see many successes on quit early, quit often and many wasted lives when people didn’t know when to quit.

Without 20/20 hindsight how do can we know?

What I see around me is people not quitting early enough. Staying in abusive relationships. Keeping startups that really can’t succeed going. I’ve always presumed that that was the greater risk.

But today I am seeing people not making through a book, an article or a course because it is hard. Without really knowing, I think that with just a little more effort they would succeed and have been glad to have done so.
