Impostor syndrome is any feeling of professional inadequacy. You feel you don’t belong because everyone else has “it” figured out. You’re not hurting yourself if you experience the feelings that come with impostor syndrome. The number of proficient programmers who still feel like they're not good enough will surprise you. You are in trouble if you give in to those feelings, but recognizing when you’ve given in to that fear and uncertainty can be difficult.
