Too Long; Didn't Read

Social media has become a growing source of information and news for hundreds of millions of people. Social networks, especially Facebook, can be significant drivers of traffic for publications searching for free distribution online. Social media makes it easier as well for journalists to build a personal profile and build a reputation. The race for being first is very real, and moving quickly does not always translate into getting everything right. The Doe is a team of journalists who have been covering social media for more than a decade to improve the quality of reporting.
