No one is running around thinking ChatGPT and other AI tools are going to take their jobs. Still, it was clear from the beginning that everyone needs to adapt and think about ways to leverage AI to become more productive and even more creative. And that could work brilliantly, especially for new early-stage SaaS businesses that are on a budget and would really make use of these tools to generate content.
A fair warning here is that using ChatGPT (let’s generalize here, as there’s actually a lot more incredible AI tools out there) you should look at it as an inspiration not a final version of your work. Everything it generates needs a human touch, otherwise, it still feels artificial and synthetic. Needless to say, AI will save a ton of time and money but it doesn’t mean you can just throw 100 prompts at it and be done with your content plan for months.
Analyse every result ChatGPT provides and add context, add keywords (which can also be generated with its help), and distribute your content on relevant platforms. This is all still your job.
The short answer is any. We don’t know the range of tasks that ChatGPT can help with or the boundaries it has. You can feed it the relevant information and teach it anything that would help in your particular case.
It can start as simple as that. You and your co-founders have this awesome product that you’re working on. It allows your potential customers to see what their customers ordered, how long it took for the order to arrive, and what review they gave you on every platform possible and then communicate with them to give feedback or solve a problem.
It works, and you’re ready to show it to the world. Ok, let’s come up with the name and maybe even take it a little further and get a bit of a brand book going on to then start working with a designer.
I like FeedbackFusion, do you? With that set. Well, let’s get ourselves a mascot.
It can be done with a variety of art/image generators. This little dude is made with Midjourney.
Before writing any content you probably should think about SEO. Start thinking about SEO early, it’ll save you a great deal of time in the future and will give you a head start in this never-ending Google game.
And again, obviously, get yourself a dedicated SEO tool at some point like Seobility or Keyword.com. But ChatGPT can give the first kick to it and some understanding of the direction you might be going.
These are the ones I got when I asked for 10 normal and 10 long-tail keywords.
Not bad at all. Let’s get to that first text that will tell the customers who we are, what we do, and why FeedbackFusion is exactly what they are looking for!
Perfect. That’s something that is easy and clear. Now it can be rewritten a bit with added context and actually used on the landing page.
Ok, the visuals are there, and it’s time to get the party started. Cold emails are only boring and old-school if you make them so. Personalized emails that bring value and share great information are still very much in style. So, why not try to reach out to our customers that way?
We’ve got the branding and the tone of voice that we’d love to use with our customers. Let's see how ChatGPT can generate the first email for the outreach.
Prompt used: “Now, can you generate a cold outreach email to potential customers? You need to sound friendly, not pushy, not exactly selling but stating the point that the product is great and is used by some businesses already that see the benefits, improve their communication with their customers and save time and money with it. “
To make sure there’s more context for ChatGPT to rely on, I also fed it an example of the “good cold email” that I found online.
Obviously, it can generate the second, the third, and the “sorry, it didn’t work for you” kind of emails, too.
One more option is from Copy.ai. It’s also a good idea to try a couple of different tools to see which one can capture the desired tone of voice, sound more human or deliver other benefits to you.
ChatGPT or any other neural networks work great WITH a marketer/founder/growth person not INSTEAD.
This is a fundamental concept, and it means that AI just like any other tool needs to be studied and used carefully. It’s a great task to learn how to talk with these networks and how to show exactly what is needed at the end.
Just like no-code solutions still need at least a basic understanding of the way tech works from the inside. AI tools need you to understand the results you’re looking for and feed it just the right data to conceptualize it.
They MIMIC human interaction not SUBSTITUTE it.
So, needless to say, communication with customers can not be eliminated as it brings the core knowledge you need for business development.
These were just a few examples of the way AI can be used, the actual possibilities are virtually limitless. However, the biggest advantage it brings is the ability to streamline the creative process for all business purposes.
