<em>I recently gave a </em><a href="https://youtu.be/smBND2pwdUE?t=19535" target="_blank"><em>talk at React Amsterdam on running GraphQL at scale</em></a><em>, covering some different use cases and techniques that come up in production. One such scenario was related to </em><a href="https://youtu.be/smBND2pwdUE?t=20332" target="_blank"><em>authorization in a cascading manner</em></a><em> using multiple data sources which motivated this article. This is a bit of an advanced subject so if you’re just getting started, I recommend starting with more introductory information </em><a href="https://docs.aws.amazon.com/appsync/latest/devguide/security.html#fine-grained-access-control" target="_blank"><em>here</em></a><em> and </em><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etax3aEe2dA" target="_blank"><em>here</em></a><em>.</em>
