Good thoughts. You’re absolutely right when you say it depends on the person. It also depends on the entrepreneur. If you feel the need to tackle more than one thing you might be what Is called a multipotentialite, a scanner, a renaissance soul.
There are some who find one true calling in life and are happy fulfilling that. I’m pretty sure I’m not one of them.
What I have found is that a person like me can find value in defining their own theme. Rather than niching down, they theme up.
2/3 of your companies are linked with social media. One still sits in the online space. What could be your overarching theme?
Stamina is also something to look at. I first heard advice from Chase Reeves that you can run fast or you can run long, but you can’t run fast for long. (I probably butchered that). The deeper question for me is…
How far do you want to run with this project or venture?
What qualifies as being done? Maybe it’s not what everyone else thinks is finished. Sometimes you have to be done so you can move on to the next thing and that’s okay.
How much can you take on at any given moment? I’ve learned that three major projects at once is my tipping point. More than that starts to become too much.
We’re in this journey together. Keep running.
