First: What is Censorship? Censorship is the restriction or suppression of certain media and speech . This is often because it is considered wrong, or too violent, sexually explicit or profane for specific audiences. This is meant to protect young children from content that is too mature for them. It can also protect groups from hate speech. But censorship also denies entire populations of basic human rights and freedoms, such as .
