However, it is important to note that women's potential interest in cryptocurrencies is nearly on par with men's, and women are even more inclined to study the field before diving in. This may signal a trend toward converging economic interests between men and women,” said Ali Daylami, Head of Data Analytics at BITmarkets, commenting on the survey's findings. Men also report a stronger understanding of basic cryptocurrency terms, with only 4% admitting they know nothing about cryptocurrencies, compared to 9% of women. When it comes to more technical concepts such as “cryptocurrency exchange,” 14% of men and 24% of women admit a lack of knowledge. In the case of ETFs (exchange-traded funds), which increasingly invest in cryptocurrencies, ignorance rises to 29% among men and 41% among women. While statistics show that women generally hold less cryptocurrency compared to men, research shows that women are more open to learning about cryptocurrencies. This points to a growing curiosity and potential for greater involvement in the crypto space, as education and awareness are important in overcoming barriers such as financial confidence.
