An Uber self-driving car, running in autonomous mode with a safety driver behind its wheel, hit and killed a woman in Tempe, Arizona. This is a serious reminder to the AI community that the work being done carries a lot of weights, sometimes other people’s life. Data Science is not trivial, it requires many years of training in math, computer science and a wide variety of technologies. The majority of data scientists in the industry at least have a master's degree or Ph.D.
