Too Long; Didn't Read

A team was split in two when the product and people grew large enough to necessitate two separate groups. The problem was who went to each team, most of the new folks and a few familiar enough with the codebase. The project roadmap, external factors, and the current reputation are outside of my control. The clarity came from focusing on what I had more agency than I initially thought. To enact real change, focus on what you can control, the people that initially ignored you will start to pay attention.
