Too Long; Didn't Read

I am pleased to announce that, after several months of development, Winds 2.0 is now in public beta! Winds started out as a small, simple proof of concept, but has blown up to be a platform used by thousands of people worldwide — I can’t express how excited I am about this.

I am pleased to announce that, after several months of development, Winds 2.0 is now in public beta! Winds started out as a small, simple proof of concept, but has blown up to be a platform used by thousands of people worldwide — I can’t express how excited I am about this.

The entire application was rewritten from the ground up with the following features:

 • A completely new high-performance codebase, written with the latest version of React (v16) and Redux. ⌨️
 • Additional support for Podcasts, so you can listen while you read your favorite RSS feed. 🎧 + 📕
 • Personalized RSS and Podcast recommendations powered by Stream’s next level machine learning engine. 👩‍💻
 • An Electron shell, allowing for Native macOS support (Windows & Linux coming soon). 🐚

There were a lot of moving pieces in this application build, so I’d like to give a shout out to the members of the team who helped make this project possible:

Lastly, and most importantly, to download Winds 2.0, head over to the official download site. The application code will be open-sourced / updated shortly after moving out of a public beta. Until then, please report bugs as a GitHub issue and the team will address them as soon as possible.
