Too Long; Didn't Read

The “Sink or Swim” method is used in onboarding of engineers. This method weeds out weaker developers, who eventually sink (leave or get fired) Some of the most prestigious companies employ this method (no name dropping here) Swimm is the name of our company - because every engineer should swim. We have talked with hundreds of engineering managers in the past few years about how they onboard their engineers. There are no chairs flying or slaps to the face like in Whiplash, but there is a lot in common with this method.
