What it's Like to Migrate a Backend Service From Spring Boot to Vert.X

Too Long; Didn't Read

Migrating logic from an existing Spring Boot application to Vert.x was an enjoyable challenge and pleasant experience. However, in this particular case, Vert.x only had a performance edge once both Spring Boot and Vert.x applications hit their maximum throughput -- performance up to that point was almost equivalent. Consequently, each situation will need to evaluate if the extra complexity is warranted for the application.
