There’s no question that autonomous vehicles will make our roads safer, and reduce accidents and fatalities. But they won’t be perfect, and some AVs will <a href="https://hackernoon.com/tagged/crash" target="_blank">crash</a>. There was a tragic reminder of that in May 2016, when a Tesla Model S driving in <a href="https://hackernoon.com/tagged/autopilot" target="_blank">Autopilot</a> mode crashed into a semitrailer near Williston, Florida, killing the driver Joshua Brown.
