Anti-Bitcoin: What Does BTC Need to Be to Actually Replace Fiat?

This is a good read. Though I disagree with the idea of creating money that cannot be saved. 
Everything of value can be saved except time.
The trouble with why BTC is not overtaking fiat currencies / the mighty USD, imo, is not because it can be held for speculative value increases in what is called "hodling".
Eventually, even maxi hodlers buy food and give donations. The need to circulate the coins through spending is all powerful 
The troubles that could be "seen", other that hodling, are many. 
I mean we could blame the dollar for being too powerful to collapse and give BTC a chance, but that wouldn't help. 
What we need is more experimentation in the Bitcoin Space.
For example, we need Bitcoin to be married to AI in a big way.
It is literally the best digital product to merge with AI rn. 
Is it easy? No. Is it groundbreaking? Yes.
If I could I'd fine tune AI to be a Bitcoin Maxi.

How Soon Can Google Investors Make Bank?

AI should learn how to get paid in BTC and to hodl BTC, then it will really pick up a lot of heat :grin:.

Else: Pushing more low level human creators out of from the job market is not exactly going to make bank. Cause it means those same (growing numbers of jobless) people will expect to use AI for free.

Though, another perspective is the fear of AI because it is like a metal powered humaoid outside our control. Especially if we didn't code it.

Be it intellectually or physically.

Well, if you know the UN, you know it really isn't a thing. It is a meeting umbrella for 193 countries.

If it (the UN) *really* is in control of Bitcoin and not the USA or Russia or China, then 193 countries are in control of Bitcoin.

193 countries is practically 193 individuals. Some Presidents directly, some the Chancellor of the exchequer, some the cousins of the Presidents, some don't think it is worth their time but OK, let's try this seed phrase thing. They'll jabber about it and real devs will sneak in unnoticed and everybody will sneak in and they'll (the Presidents) will all get pissy and it will be such great fun and Bitcoin wins!

Measuring Decentralization

This article was pretty elaborate, but I think it sidestepped the key issues.

Let's say Grandma is smart and two people come and explain to her that going blockchain means her data will be protected better.

The first guy is an Ethereum guy and the other is a Bitcoin guy. 

After the greetings and yada yada, 

Grandma holds up her hand up to shut the two boys up. Then cuts straight to the chase -

“Is there a grould of people controlling Ethereum like there are those controlling Google?”

She cuts him off.

Turn to Bitcoin guy

“Is there a grould of people controlling Ethereum like there are those controlling Google?”

Bitcoiner - No.

This alone has biased Grandma to think Bitcoin is more decentralized. 

Maybe with a lengthy explanation Grandma will change her mind, but deep down, her conviction has chosen a winner.

The second issue is the data issue, really.

It does not take a cryptocurrency to protect people's data.

adding money into data issues muddy's waters, and I wouldn't be so sure that if I had really high quality data on Bitcoin's blockchain (assuming it could somehow do that purpose as well) that it wouldn't be copied & used to buy a fraud a plane ticket to Cancun.

Really, to protect my data, I'd rather go with Google. Suing a major corporation makes more sense. Otherwise, Nostr. Totally off grid.
