Born in the north of Scandinavia, I grew up under wide skies and long winters, spending most of my youth trying to understand how the world really works. That curiosity led me to a dual university degree in Engineering Physics and the Humanities, followed by a PhD in Materials Science. The combination fuels both my technical imagination and my interest in philosophy, myth, and the human condition. I have carried a lifelong fascination with space and science fiction, both the written kind and the cinematic. When I was not reading, studying or traveling, I was building things with my hands. Houses, boats and skateboard parks became ways to explore structure, motion and the pleasure of making something real. My travels eventually took me across much of the world, including the deep cold of Antarctica and Greenland. Along the way, I built a career that moved between industry and academia, blending scientific research, engineering practice and a relentless dedication to quality. Despite tha
